Persistent Organic Pollutants Testing
Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are non-polar organic compounds that are almost unaffected by environmental factors. POPs bioaccumulate mainly in fatty foods, meat, fish, liver, eggs, and other fatty samples. POPs are organic compounds containing polychlorinated dibenzo-b-dioxins, furans (dioxins) and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), which are formed from the incomplete combustion of waste, whether it is garbage, or from hazardous medical waste incinerators, solid or plastic and some metallurgical industries, iron and cement kiln factories emissions. These compounds have been classified as highly carcinogenic compounds.
